Intimadators(Parham, Kiley, Finamore) drew with Mongooses(Mrowka, Cornish, Hoffman)

The prospect of an enthralling days cricket seemed on the cards when the Mongooses, after winning the toss, compiled a competitive 166 on the back of half centuries to both Michael Cornish and Brett Mrowka.

However, the Intimidators reply struggled to get off the ground led by a sluggish 108 by captain James Finamore, and by the time they declared there innings 27 runs behind both teams appeared to have a struggle ahead to force a result in the allotted time.

With time at a premium, captain Cornish stepped up to carry his team with enterprising innings of 48 off 40 and 65 off 33, well supported by handy cameos by both Simon Hoffman and Mrowka, leaving the Intimadors to chase 204 with roughly 20 minutes remaining.

With memories of the Good Friday heroics still fresh in the mind, the Intimadators set out optimistically, however the early loss of Finamore and Kiley stalled the run chase. With the focus now on saving the match Aidan Parham batted the Intimadators to safety with a defiant 67, leaving both teams and the slight crowd with a disappointing result.
